KCYM urges immediate action against tiger attacks in hilly areas

Mananthavady : KCYM Mananthavady diocese demanded to take steps that ensured the safety of the people instead of temporary measures against tiger attacks in the area. During the last 15 days, nearly 13 pets in areas like Payyampally, Kurukkanmoola and Cherur were caught and killed by tigers. Even though the police camped and set up cages and cameras, the tiger had escaped.

KCYM Mananthavady Diocese President Jishin Mundakkadathil told that instead of the temporary measures, there should be measures to ensure public peace. The authorities should not close their eyes towards the problems and anxieties of the farmers who are working hard till dawn.
